Target is not backing down in its policy to let people use the bathroom according to their gender identity.
A group called Faith 2 Action, who says they are a “pro-active launching pad for the pro-family movement,” F2A, is organizing a “Don’t Target Our Daughters Day” on June 4.

In the past, we saw companies back down because of fear of the right’s bigotry, but not now- Brian Cornell CEO of Target said
“We took a stance, and we’re going to continue to embrace our belief of diversity and inclusion and just how important that is to our company” Go Target!

This group “Faith2Action” says Target’s policy allows “predators and sex offenders,” into women’s restrooms and fitting rooms so they’re going to protest outside the store.
Since they’re demonstrating outside the store on June 4, we need to be in the store shopping. Start making your list of items now, like household goods, school supplies, that digital TV antenna you keep saying you’re going to buy. When Target opens on June 4, get in there and buy! We need to support the businesses that support us, and whether you are LGBTQ or any other letter, come out and shop for equality.

I don’t know where Faith 2 Action gets the idea that every man is going pretend to be a woman to molest his children. Where did they get that sick fantasy? Imagine bathrooms, and fitting rooms besieged by hordes of heterosexual men in dresses, wigs and heels, just waiting on line like the wolf in “Little Red Riding Hood.”

These people also think that you can tell who is gay just by looking at someone, and of course they don’t know anyone who’s gay, so they get freaked out when they find their neighbor, favorite actor or family member is gay. “I just can’t believe it”

Since so much of the time, there is no way to know if someone is transgender, these fools would be shocked to know that some of the best looking models in the world are transgender.

In their minds, every woman with short hair, baseball cap and a deep voice must be either transgender, or a straight man waiting to sneak under a stall to molest someone.

And of course, any men that don’t fit the stereotype of a “he-man” (because they haven’t seen pictures of transgender men who are also body builders and power lifters,) will be accused of being either transgender or women trying to pass as men to molest men as they do their business.

And while I joke, I’m seeing an increase in viciousness, hate, and violence against transgender people and people who are mistaken for transgender.

What actions will this faith2action take to ensure that no one slips in under the transphobic radar? Will they have massive fundraisers to install screening like the TSA where you have to go through the booth with your hands raised? But what about Trans people who have had gender reassignment surgery? Will everyone have to carry 3 pieces of id, birth certificate, doctor’s affidavits, etc. while attesting to gender at birth?

We have to stand together against this very dangerous path- back to the 50s when it was illegal to wear clothes of the opposite gender, and against this Faith 2 Action Taliban, who want to dictate what woman or men are allowed to wear, sound like or act.

See you on June 4 at Target, and tell all your friends- don’t let these Faith2Action predators run our country!
