College Programs

As changes in the job market have challenged graduating students, college campuses are recognizing the need to give students a competitive edge to survive in the working world. Through on-campus workshops and speeches, students can gain practical training and tools to prepare them for careers in any field. These educational supplements are invaluable to students who graduate with a better understanding of themselves, the job market, and the working world.

Simma speaks to college students all over the nation about what it takes to be a leader in the 21st Century, with programs on Diversity and Breaking Through Fear and Self-doubt to succeed in the job market. Presently, Simma is also active in promoting dialogue and reconciliation between Jewish and Palestinian people. She works with students and faculty in sessions with 5 to 5,000 participants in programs tailored for each organization. She offers workshops, seminars, consulting, and keynote speeches.

  • Diversity Leadership. Simma consults students of all backgrounds on the skills they need to be successful in the 21st Century and provides a powerful speech on what it means to be a diversity leader.

  • Get Past Fear & Self-Doubt. Push past obstacles and overcome fear and self-doubt to succeed in their careers, relationships, and life. This is a high energy, motivational piece to revive inner strength and conviction. This series can be presented as either a keynote speech or as a seminar or workshop. It can be tailored to the specific issues faced by faculty, employees, or students, depending on the audience.

  • Teacher Trainings. Simma works with faculty in seminars focusing on diversity in the classroom and stress management. This program provides teachers with key tools they need to be effective classroom instructors and strike a healthy balance in their personal and professional lives.

Simma recently partnered with the career-related portal Monster (www.monster.com) in a series called Making It Count (www.makingitcount.com), which toured through college campuses and coached college students on how to make their undergraduate experiences count toward a career. Her current college campus series features the programs detailed above, which are known to be effective learning tools delivered in a down-to-earth and humorous style. Students and faculty find Simma's programs to be highly practical, easy to relate to, and thoroughly enjoyable.

If you are interested in having Simma come to your campus, please email or call us at 510.527.0700. All inquiries are welcome.

Simma places a high value on providing training and educational supplements to college students to prepare them for fulfilling careers and lifestyles. She will work with campus organization and career services to help make these programs feasible for college students.

Testimony on Simma's College Series:

"Your session was marvelous and the evaluations reflect not only how much the students enjoyed your workshop, but also what they learned from you. Your interactive style and the information presented in the workshop made for a valuable experience. Some of the students' comments were: "The workshop kept me alert for 2 hours, excellent presenter.", "Great public speaker!", "She is very good in presenting the topic about balancing life. She has good activities (breathing technique) and great energy." ·Clearly from the results of the student evaluations, it would be a pleasure to have you present another seminar to our students."
